Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 5, 2026
By downloading or using the TempleLinq app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your use of the TempleLinq mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by TempleLinq ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use TempleLinq. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Temple Listings
TempleLinq aggregates temple information from public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. Temple administrators may claim their listing to keep information current. If you notice an error, use the "Suggest an Edit" feature in the app.
5. Donations & Payments
- Donations and payments made through TempleLinq are processed by Stripe on behalf of the receiving temple.
- TempleLinq charges a platform fee on transactions to sustain the service. Fee details are available to temple administrators in their service agreement.
- When paying via ACH bank transfer, your bank account is connected securely through Stripe. TempleLinq and the temple never see, access, or store your routing number, account number, or any banking credentials. All bank data is held exclusively by Stripe under their security and compliance standards.
- Donations are generally non-refundable. Email [email protected] for disputes.
- TempleLinq does not provide tax advice. Please consult a tax professional regarding the deductibility of your donations.
6. Service Bookings
Service bookings (pujas, prasad, archana, etc.) are facilitated by TempleLinq on behalf of temples. Fulfillment of services is the responsibility of the temple. Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual temples.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, and trademarks on the Service are the property of TempleLinq or their respective owners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TempleLinq shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or financial loss.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Temple Administrator Terms
The following additional terms apply to temple administrators and authorized representatives who manage a temple listing on TempleLinq.
13a. Fee Confidentiality
- TempleLinq's fee rates, pricing structures, and commercial terms are confidential business information shared solely between TempleLinq and the temple administrator.
- Temple administrators agree not to publicly disclose, publish, post on social media, or share TempleLinq's specific fee rates or commercial terms with any third party, including donors, devotees, or the general public.
- Temple administrators may honestly answer direct questions from donors regarding how much of a specific donation was received by the temple. They may not, however, proactively disclose or publicize TempleLinq's fee rates or structures.
- Nothing in this clause requires a temple to violate applicable state or federal law, including charitable solicitation disclosure requirements.
- Violation of this clause constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the temple's access to TempleLinq.
13b. Prohibited Commercial Activity
- Temple administrators may not use any TempleLinq-provided space — including event banners, listings, project descriptions, service pages, or push notifications — to promote commercial products, for-profit services, or third-party businesses that are not facilitated through TempleLinq.
- Temple administrators may not use donor, devotee, or user data collected through TempleLinq to enroll, register, solicit, or market to users on behalf of any third-party platform, service, or organization without the explicit prior consent of each user.
- Temple administrators may not wilfully or knowingly direct TempleLinq users to competing platforms or services for transactions or activities that TempleLinq facilitates.
- Temple administrators may not use TempleLinq's user base or data for any commercial purpose outside of the temple's religious, cultural, and community services offered directly through TempleLinq.
- Services and activities offered through TempleLinq — whether free or paid, including donations, puja bookings, event ticketing, and project fundraising — are explicitly permitted and encouraged.
- Violation of this clause constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the temple's access to TempleLinq.
